A Danish design icon is finally reborn… Here is the reissue of the famous KRENIT bowl, designed by Herbert Krenchel in 1953 and reissued by Normann Copenhagen. In 1953, the idea was to create an aesthetic bowl which would be both useful in the kitchen or on the table, and which could serve as decoration in the living room. The material used is the same as at the time: enamelled iron. A researcher in materials, Herbert Krenchel wanted to combine two different but compatible materials: sturdy, matt iron on the outside with enamel, shiny and precious, on the inside. Krenit is the symbol of Danish minimalist design from the 1950s. Inspired by the language of oriental forms, its pure, simple lines have been copied many times. A great timeless classic that still surprises us with its ultra-contemporary lines! Krenit bowls and salad bowls are available in a multitude of sizes and colours.
